Welcome to the USS Trafalgar

Welcome to the USS Trafalgar, an Akira class starship and a proud member of Bravo Fleet and TF9. Operating in the Gamma Quadrant, with her large shuttle bays and powerful armament she packs a punch for a mid-sized vessel. The Akira Class starship entered service in 2363 and has quickly become the pride of Starfleet’s next generation of starships. Akira Class vessels are part of the new belief that smaller, faster, more manoeuverable starships are needed to better serve Starfleet's, and, by extension, the Federation's needs.

The Trafalgar, a ship fresh out of refit with a new Commanding Officer and crew, is assigned to TF9. The TF was established to protect Federation interests in the Gamma Quadrant. The TF, based at Deep Space 11, has the following objectives:

- Explore the Gamma Quadrant to catalogue planets, nebulae, spatial anomalies and more.
- Protect Federation Interests in the Quadrant and its citizens who explore and conduct trade.
- Support the development of Federation colonies in cooperation with local powers.

Yet again Trafalgar has been awarded the award "Sim of the Month" for TF9. For our work in developing the Sebrisan Empire, we have been recognised for our imagination and storycraft.

The second award gives me great pleasure to announce, our XO, Lt Cdr Drew Knight, is the Player of the Month. I paste in full his citation:

Lt Cdr Drew Knight has been the bedrock of Trafalgar’s success. Courteous, quietly disciplined, and with a boundless patience, he has weathered all manner of challenges ably and is central to everything that we do. He writes particularly effectively, bringing humour, emotion and a healthy degree of technobabble to a well-conceived and fleshed out character. He is fully deserving of recognition.

Well done Drew!

Cara gulped down the last of her Iblon, a fermented caffeine drink developed by an Ecdin pirate Cara had had a brief affair with. She got up from her desk in her Ready Room, tapped her combadge and said, "Major Knight...meet me in the Brig. It's time to have…

Hervey closed his eyes, feeling a sickening sensation in the pit of his stomach. He turned to Imm. "Lieutenant, could you repeat that please?"

Imm, looking ashen (as close as a Bolian could) looked sombrely at his Commanding Officer. "Sir, but we've lost all contact with landing site Muster Point…

Muster Point Gamma Zulu One, known almost universally as "Guzz", was one of the last assembly points to be established, secured and, therefore, drawn down as its charges, a mixture of embassy staff and Federation civilians, were forwarded on to the main embarkation of point, the Embassy itself. Guzz had…
